University City Kitchen & Dining Room

Location: University City, Philadelphia

Building type: 3-Story Victorian Rowhome

This kitchen, at the rear of a historic rowhome, was last renovated in the 1970’s – when our clients first purchased the home. The long-awaited overhaul included demolition of two major structural elements: the butler’s staircase that separated the kitchen from the dining room; and the entire rear masonry wall. We added an 8-foot breakfast nook with a slider door to the new rear deck and two peninsulas with bar seating. The new open floor plan presented long sightlines from front to back.

Working with Bellweather has been nothing short of an excellent experience. Our project was on a very tight budget and timeline, but Bellweather worked with us every step of the way and executed exactly what they said they would. My wife and I are extremely happy with the results and would not hesitate to work with them again in the future.
